Set amidst the rich natural surroundings of Tateyama Town, this cycling tour takes you through the satoyama countryside on an electric-assist mountain bike.
The tour begins at No-no-ie, a 130-year-old traditional farmhouse that has been beautifully renovated. Along the way, you will encounter seasonal landscapes and historical sites, while gaining a deeper appreciation of the region’s local culture and way of life.
An experienced guide accompanies each tour, ensuring that even first-time riders can join with confidence.

At Matsukawa Chaya, located within Toyama Castle Ruins Park, guests can enjoy a hands-on Japanese sweets making experience offered from late April through late November.
Using a step-by-step guide, you can create traditional wagashi at your own pace. Once completed, your handmade sweets can be enjoyed together with a serving of matcha green tea. An instructor can be arranged upon request.

Kumiko is a traditional Japanese woodworking technique that has been passed down since the Asuka period. Without using a single nail, artisans intricately assemble wooden pieces to create delicate patterns for sliding doors, partitions, and transoms. At Tanihata, this refined craftsmanship continues to be practiced with precision and care.

Yatsuo once flourished as a center of sericulture, where the rich natural environment nurtured fields of mulberry leaves—essential for raising silkworms that produced exceptionally beautiful cocoons.
Today, that tradition lives on through carefully cultivated mulberry trees grown without pesticides or chemical fertilizers.
Surrounded by nature, you can enjoy a hands-on experience picking mulberry leaves, which are used to make caffeine-free mulberry tea. The tea is gentle on the body and can be safely enjoyed by guests of all ages, from children to seniors.

Location: Sake breweries throughout Toyama Prefecture
Duration: 60minutes

Toyama Prefecture, blessed with pure water and clean air, has long been known as a region rich in sake brewing tradition.
Across the prefecture, a number of breweries produce sake that reflects the local climate and character—each with its own unique history and dedication to craftsmanship.

A visit offers a close-up view of the brewing process and the skills of master brewers. Depending on the season, tastings may also be available.
